Hi, I am Marjolein McPherson Brits
I didn’t arrive at photography through a lifelong plan.
Or a five-year business strategy.
Last year I simply wanted better photographs of my children. The real kind, the muddy feet, wild hair, ordinary magic kind.
Then a friend invited me to a photography workshop and something clicked. Looking back, it feels so obvious now.
Photography became the perfect way to express ideas and projects I had been feeling for over a decade, had no way to express them in a way that did them justice, and I finally gave myself permission to use it.
Motherhood changed the way I see the world.
It taught me what it feels like to cross a threshold, to leave one version of yourself behind while trying to make sense of the next.
Since then, I’ve become fascinated by the seasons of becoming that shape our lives. The parts that often go unseen. The stories we carry quietly.
The versions of ourselves we’re still growing into.
Now I create space for women to slow down, reconnect, play, soften and simply be.
Not to perform.
Not to become someone else.
Just to meet you where they are.
My work isn’t about perfection, It’s about belonging. Belonging to your story, to your season, and to the truth; that change itself, is sacred. When we are witnessed with care, we can remember we were never lost. We were home all along.
