Dive into my Story of

Maiden

-to-

Mother

There comes a moment where a woman feels herself changing.

Not all at once.
Not cleanly.
Not always gently.

Maiden to Mother is an ongoing photographic series exploring the transformation that happens when a woman steps into motherhood. Not simply the birth of a child. The birth of a new self. The shift can be beautiful, disorienting, expansive, lonely, tender, powerful and deeply unseen—all at once.

This project creates space for those experiences to be witnessed.

Not just the soft moments.

The grief, the uncertainty, the identity shifts, the beauty, the tension. The parts we don’t always talk about.

Woman expressing her frustration and anger on the beach by letting out a scream. Kneeling down into the sand.
A woman running and laughing through a field of knee high daisies in a white dress at sunset.
woman lying down in a field of daisies holding a bunch and laughing.

The Experience

Each session becomes part of the larger story.

A portrait session exploring the season you’re in.

You might be a new mother. Or years into motherhood and wondering where you went. You might be celebrating a new chapter. Or grieving an old one.

You might simply want to see yourself through kinder eyes. There is no expectation to perform here.

No need to know what you’re doing. No need to arrive polished, confident or camera-ready.

Just space to pause.

To breathe.

To be seen.

Every session is shaped through conversation, comfort and consent. Together we’ll create images that feel honest, personal and true to this season of your life.

This work will eventually be brought together as an exhibition.

Each woman who participates adds another thread to the story. Together, these portraits explore the identity shifts, emotions and unseen layers of motherhood.

Because none of us were meant to carry these stories alone.

If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.
